I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
